1. Who we are
Rapid Training Institute is a trading name of Orion Byte Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16562237), registered office Office 32, 806 High Road, Leyton, London E10 6AE. Orion Byte Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: contact@rapidtraininginstitute.co.uk.
2. What we collect
Contact and account details (name, email address, telephone number if given); billing details and order history; your learning portal username, enrolments, course progress, assessment results and certificates; messages you send us; and technical data such as IP address, browser type and cookies when you use this website. We do not see or store your full card details, which are handled by our payment providers.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
To create your learning account, enrol you on courses, issue certificates and support you (performance of a contract). To keep financial and tax records (legal obligation). To prevent fraud, keep our systems secure and improve our courses and website (legitimate interests). To send news and offers, only where you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time (consent).
4. Who we share it with
VideoTile Learning Ltd, which provides and hosts our learning portal and issues course certificates; Wix.com, which hosts this website and our checkout; payment providers that process your payment; our professional advisers; and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it. If your employer books training for you, we may share your progress and certificate with them. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Wix, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
6. How long we keep it
Order and financial records are kept for six years from the end of the financial year they relate to. Training records and certificates are kept for six years after your last course so that certificates can be verified, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and we have no legal reason to keep them. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights email contact@rapidtraininginstitute.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
8. Cookies
This website uses essential cookies to work and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie banner or your browser settings.
9. Complaints
